Lovely Wiltshire

A few weeks ago I met a lovely lady, who in the course of our conversation happened to mention how much she likes Wiltshire. Which started me off thinking that yes, it really has got a lot going for it. So here, in a small homage to lovely Wiltshire, are a handful of the great places to be found there – a pub with rooms, a luxurious hotel and a restaurant.

Fall in love with the Lake District

It takes quite a lot for any part of the UK to beat the Lake District.  Whatever the time of year, it offers up its own unique and unparalleled beauty.  The sheer scale and sweeping romance of it will swell your heart and make you want to do all kinds of crazy things.  One couple I sent there came back engaged and I’m not sure who involved was the most surprised.

A weekend haven only 30 minutes from London

I’ll certainly be heading over to The Forbury for dinner but the even better news is that if you don’t feel like making the journey back home, you can simply climb the magnificent staircase to one of their sumptuous bedrooms.  Each room has been individually designed making it feel like you’re staying in an exquisite house rather than a hotel.
